While the snowflakes slowly whirl down, leaving the trees, the grass and the roofs in white, I'm writing down my thoughts
They have a tendancy to chase me
Those thoughts
Creeping up on me like a thick fog I try to stay away from

I shot this image almost two weeks ago when I was on my way to deliver a work to a lovely family in the Southern part of Limburg. When I was driving, suddenly a thick fog appeared. I couldn't help but take the nearest exit to create something.
It was 0 degrees Celius, the puddles were frozen and I was standing there in my thin layered dress running back and forth for a photo.
Instinctively I had put this dress and some rope in my camera bag. My work is mainly based off events, emotions which I translate into painterly work. This was not a preconceived plan that I had written down or sketched. But sometimes you can also create from the way you're feeling in the moment that is incredibly meaningfull.
